Kelly

With over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse — including 7 years in overall management — Kelly brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to The Green. With a  background in Acute Medicine, Kelly gained expertise in specialised nursing care, managing medical wards, and leading medical response teams.

In 2001, after years in the NHS, She moved into elderly care as a Deputy Manager in a nursing home — “a decision I’ve never regretted!. Supporting residents in a warm, home-like environment has been the most rewarding part of my career.”

Throughout the years, Kelly has built strong relationships with residents, families, and care staff, always prioritising residents’ happiness, safety, and well-being.

“When I first visited The Green, I was struck by the warm welcome from residents, relatives, and staff. I immediately felt at home — and knew I wanted to be part of this wonderful team.”

“I’m excited to lead The Green forward, ensuring every resident feels valued, cared for, and truly at home.”

Jaissa’s calm and open approach creates a relaxed atmosphere for both residents and staff. Residents and their families often praise her for her kindness and compassion.

Jaissa says:
“The Green is my second home. I enjoy spending time with all my residents. I feel relaxed and happy when I sit with them and listen to their stories. They are my family, and I treat them like family. They make me think, smile, and sometimes cry.”

Jaissa is particularly passionate about Palliative Care and works closely with the team at Ashgate Hospice to ensure that residents receive respectful, dignified, and peaceful end-of-life care.
