The Green Way

At The Green Care Group, we are dedicated to making you feel truly at home. We go above and beyond to ensure that every detail of your stay reflects your preferences and needs. From arranging your cherished belongings in your room to understanding your unique tastes and level of care, we focus on what makes you feel comfortable and secure. We also take the time to learn about the people who matter most to you – this is The Green Way.

We take pride in providing compassionate care and support, empowering our residents to live with dignity and independence. Your daily routine, activities, meals, and outings are all guided by your choices and preferences.

To deliver this personalised experience, we begin by gathering comprehensive details about your life, from your school days to your bedtime rituals. Every resident is paired with a dedicated nurse and key care worker, who will personally get to know you and oversee your individualised care plan, giving you peace of mind and security.

At The Green, our core values are the foundation of everything we do:

Passion: We love what we do and are dedicated to enriching the lives of others, always going the extra mile.

Kindness: We strive to be compassionate, providing comfort and support to everyone in our care.

Respect: We hold genuine regard for each individual’s feelings, beliefs, wishes, and rights, valuing diverse opinions.

Openness: We build trust through our commitment to honesty and transparency in all our interactions.

Empowerment: We support individuals in reaching their full potential through effective communication, training, mentorship, and teamwork.

The Green Care Group is a family-run organisation dedicated to providing exceptional elderly care in Derbyshire for over 30 years. Our care homes are strategically located in Hasland and Dronfield, each purpose-built and refurbished to the highest standards. We are committed to ongoing investment to uphold these high standards.

The Green concept was founded by the late Dr. Ramesh Jaiswal and Nirmala Jaiswal. As a local GP in Chesterfield, Dr. Jaiswal identified a need for high-quality care homes in the area. Their vision led to the opening of our first care home in Hasland, followed by a second home in Dronfield. In 2015, Dr. Jaiswal’s son, Deepak Jaiswal, expanded the family’s legacy by establishing The Callywhite in Dronfield, a care home dedicated to supporting individuals living with dementia.

Each of our homes remains committed to delivering the highest level of care, reflecting the enduring values and dedication of our founders.

Our People

At The Green, we believe that our dedicated team is fundamental to creating a comfortable and nurturing environment for our residents. Many of our staff members have been with The Green Care Group for years, ensuring consistency and familiarity for both residents and their families.

Care and Experience: Our staff are chosen not only for their skills and experience in care but also for their friendly and compassionate personalities. All team members are appropriately qualified, CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked, and trained to uphold our high standards of care.

Ongoing Training: We maintain high care standards through a continuous staff training program that aligns with the latest developments in care practices. Training is in line with relevant legislation, regulations, and the National Minimum Standards under the Care Standards Act 2008.

Qualifications: All care assistants are encouraged to achieve at least an NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) Level 2 in Health Care. New staff members receive support to attain this qualification and are encouraged to pursue further qualifications.

Professional Development: Nurses receive ongoing training and skills development to stay current with NMC standards, including medication and medical equipment use. Our training methods include both in-house and external resources, following the Care Certificate 2015 standards.

Staff Screening:

  • Recruitment Process: All prospective employees undergo a rigorous selection process, including a series of interviews, reference checks, and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks. We prioritise qualities such as reliability, integrity, and professionalism, along with strong interpersonal and empathy skills.
